Next week, on May 1st, I'm departing for Omaha to attend the Berkshire Hathaway meeting for the first time. I've procrastinated on this for too long, and as a result, I haven't been able to see Charlie Munger in person. I didn't want to risk never seeing Warren Buffett either.
Although I'm not a fan of large crowds and social interactions often drain a lot of energy from me, I am determined to fully participate in the many events there, including ValueX-BRK, Good Investing, Markel, Renthrop, and of course, the social interactions with my travel companions (Jurgen Vluijmans, Pieter Slegers - Compounding Quality - and Kris of From Growth to Value). Therefore, I've decided not to bring my laptop so that I can't hide behind work.
Practically, this means that on Monday, April 29th, I will conclude the current promotion of the lifelong discount, and I will also provide an initial list of stocks that I will purchase for our Doubler Portfolio.
On April 30th, you will receive an update with the latest news and an overview of the Doubler Portfolio after these purchases. After that, there will be radio silence until May 10th.
Update
Every week (except during holidays and when there is no news), I report on the stocks from our selection. Especially during periods when companies publish their figures, it can be quite extensive. However, I always try to focus on the most important matters.
