It has been a year this week since Valuing Dutchman launched as the English version of Smart Capital, that I have been writing for over a decade. It’s also the one-year mark of my being independent of a publisher with Smart Capital
A look back, a look ahead, and a survey.
A look back
Grateful for the many loyal readers over the years.
Valuable feedback comes from them. We need to strengthen this communication.
Writing a new, comprehensive analysis of existing positions is beneficial for both the readers and myself.
When monitoring companies, it is important to revisit the information/investment hypothesis.
Attracting new readers is a challenge.
I need to write more for the free readers.
The price of Smart Capital has remained the same for ten years. Inflation takes its toll.
Whats coming
The price will remain the same for now. Existing subscribers will always retain their old price.
Company updates will be published separately.
Company updates will be expanded to include a summary, a recap of the investment hypothesis, and key ratios.
The weekly update will become a weekly overview. This will contain links to all updates and articles, short news items, the selection list, and weekly reflections. Short on time? By reading this, you'll stay informed and be directed to the relevant articles.
An article for all readers every Tuesday.
The weekly overview will now be published on Thursday instead of Friday.
More interactivity through Substack Threads for paying subscribers (you will receive a separate email about this tomorrow).
Standing still is moving backward, as the saying goes. That’s why the above changes will take effect this month.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on Valuing Dutchman. Would you be willing to participate in the following survey?
