In the past, I've gotten burned twice by shoe retailers, Macintosh Retail (-68%) and Foot Locker (-10%). Now, I'm venturing back into the shoe industry, but this time it's with a designer, distributor, and seller, not just a seller.

The third time's the charm, or have I been swayed by the intriguing company narrative? Competing family members who managed to buy back the brand bearing their name from bankruptcy and then restored it to its former glory.

Competition is still fierce, but compared to these rivals, this company delivers solid margins and returns, and it's cheaper too.
